Both brands dose by body weight rather than a single number. Cosequin's table gives 1 soft chew a day (600 mg glucosamine) for a 10-29 lb dog for the first 4-6 weeks, then 1 every other day; 2 a day then 1 for 30-59 lb; 3 a day then 1-2 for 60 lb and over. Dasuquin instead sells a small-to-medium formula at 600 mg per chew and a large formula at 900 mg per chew. Your veterinarian sets the final amount.
